Cleopatra Kierstead is a registered teacher, education consultant, curriculum developer, project manager, and EDI practitioner with over 15 years of experience in community-focused work across Canada. She is passionate about celebrating diversity and creating inclusive, safe, brave, and accessible spaces. Cleopatra believes that personal commitments to lifelong learning have the power to enhance our understanding of the world around us, improve our quality of life, and impact change in our communities.

Working with leaders across a variety of local and national organizations- Cleopatra has collaborated with Indigenous councils, municipal governments, school boards, social service providers, and non-profits, designing and executing strategies, projects, and programs.

Cleopatra completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology & Criminology, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education, and she is a certified teacher. She is a recently appointed member of the City of Calgary’s Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Subcommittee. She co-leads the Advancement Committee for Quest Theatre, which creates community through accessible, exceptional theatre adventures for young people throughout Alberta. In addition, Cleopatra is also the chair of the Beakerhead Creative Society’s Creative Council, which supports the global advancements of education at the intersections of art, science, and engineering.
